CCTV for transport yards and depots
A yard needs plate capture at the gate, wide perimeter coverage, the fuel point and the parts store covered. Yards are large and dark, so pole-mounted long-range cameras with proper lighting matter more than camera count.
Light before cameras
A dark yard defeats any camera. Adding a few lights usually improves results more than adding cameras, and costs less.
Pole-mounted long range
Perimeter coverage over open ground needs long-range bullets on poles, not domes on buildings. Mounting is the main cost, not the camera.
Fuel point
Fuel losses are the most common yard complaint. A dedicated camera on the fuel point, recording continuously, is the answer.

How many cameras does a yard need?
It depends on the perimeter length and how much of it is lit. A survey walking the boundary gives a real answer; a figure from a photograph does not.
Can I read plates at the gate at night?
Yes, with a dedicated plate camera and its own infra-red. It is a separate camera from the scene camera, and headlight glare is handled by positioning.
