Air conditioning

Most air conditioners fail in June because nobody touched them since August.

New units, reconditioned units, servicing, gas refills, board and compressor repairs, and shifting when you move. We work across Talagang and Chakwal and run same-day callouts through the summer — but the cheapest visit you will ever book is the one in March.

The air conditioning year

Everything in this trade is seasonal — the price, the wait and the availability all move with the calendar. Knowing which month you are in is most of knowing what to do.

  1. Feb – Apr

    Service season

Clean, gas check, drain clear, electrical check. Costs least, no queue, and finds the fault while it is still small.

  2. May – Aug

    Peak

Emergency callouts, breakdowns and long waits everywhere. We run same-day in Talagang, but everyone is busy and parts move fast.

    Repair faults
  3. Sep – Nov

    Best time to buy

Quietest season. Best availability on new and reconditioned units, and installations happen the week you ask rather than the month after.

    New and used units
  4. Dec – Jan

    Moving season

Shifting and refitting while units are idle. Gas pumped down properly rather than vented, and nothing is needed urgently.

New or reconditioned?

Buy new when

  • The room is cooled most of the year, not three months
  • You want a manufacturer warranty on the compressor
  • Running cost matters — an inverter unit repays the difference
  • It is going somewhere awkward to reach for future repairs

From PKR 95,000 fitted

Buy reconditioned when

  • The room is used seasonally — a guest room or a spare bedroom
  • Budget matters more than the last few percent of efficiency
  • You want cooling this week rather than after saving for months
  • It is a second unit rather than the main one

What people ring about

When should I get my AC serviced?
February to April, before the first hot week. Almost every June emergency callout we attend is a unit nobody touched since the previous August. A spring service costs a fraction of a peak-season repair and you are not waiting three days in the heat for it.
My AC runs but does not cool. What is wrong?
Usually low gas from a slow leak, or coils and filters so clogged that air cannot move through them. Both are routine. Less often it is the board or the compressor, which is a bigger job — and we tell you the cost before starting, not after.
Are used air conditioners worth buying?
Often, yes. For a room you cool three months a year, a checked and gas-tested reconditioned unit at a fraction of new is sound value. We disclose the age and what was replaced, and we warranty our own work. When a used unit is a bad idea for your situation, we say so.
