A camera has drifted out of aim
Bullet cameras on adjustable arms drift over time from wind, vibration and thermal movement. A camera installed to cover a gate can be looking at a wall a year later. This is normal, it is why aim is checked at every service visit, and it takes minutes to correct.
Wind and vibration
Cameras on long arms, on fascia boards or near roller shutters move most. Mounting to masonry rather than timber reduces it considerably.
Thermal cycling
Metal expands and contracts through the day. Over months this works a joint loose, particularly if the locking screw was only hand-tightened at install.
Someone moved it
Reachable cameras get pushed aside deliberately. If aim changes suddenly rather than gradually, mounting height is the real problem.

How do I know a camera has drifted?
Compare the live view against what it was meant to cover. Most people never look until they need footage, which is exactly the wrong moment to find out.
