Questions people ask
My cameras stopped recording. Is the recorder dead?
Usually not. The most common causes are a failed hard drive, a recording schedule that was switched off, or a drive that filled up with overwrite disabled. All three are cheap to fix. An actually dead recorder is comparatively rare, and we check the simple causes first.
One camera shows a black screen. What does that mean?
Almost always power or cable rather than the camera itself. A loose joint, a corroded connector or a failed power adaptor gives exactly this symptom. We test the supply at the camera end before condemning the unit — it is a much cheaper answer.
Do you repair systems installed by someone else?
Yes, and a good share of our repair work is exactly that. We do not need to have installed it, and we will not tell you the whole system has to be replaced unless it genuinely does.
