Questions people ask
Will the cameras work in a power cut?
Only if you have backup. Load-shedding here means a system with no UPS simply stops recording, which is exactly when you might need it. We size a small UPS into most home quotes so the cameras and recorder ride through an outage.
Can I see the cameras when I am away from home?
Yes. Remote viewing works over mobile data as well as WiFi, so you can check the gate from anywhere with signal. We test it on mobile data specifically before leaving, because that is the case people actually need.
Do cameras record sound?
Some do, and it is worth thinking about before you buy. Audio recording raises privacy questions, especially where a camera covers a shared street or a neighbour's door. We will point out which positions are sensible for audio and which are not.
