By premises
CCTV for bank branches and microfinance
A branch needs each counter, the entrance at face height, the vault or strong room door, the ATM lobby and the rear access covered, with longer retention than retail and strict control over who can view or export footage. Queue token systems are commonly fitted alongside.
Counter by counter
Each teller position needs its own camera. A single wide shot of the counter line records that a transaction happened but not the detail of any one of them.
Access control on the timeline
Vault and back-office door entries stamped onto the footage timeline let you search by event, which is what an investigation actually needs.
Separate viewing permissions
Day-to-day staff should view only. Export and deletion belong to named senior staff, set up during handover rather than left on one shared admin login.
What CCTV does a bank branch need?
How long should a branch keep footage?
Longer than retail — typically 60 to 90 days, and your own policy may specify more. Retention is a storage decision made at quotation, not something to discover later.
Can you fit a queue token system too?
Yes, and it is common. Kiosk, display board and counter keypads share the same visit and much of the same cabling as the camera work.
Need this doing?
Business CCTV covers the till, the stock room, the entrance and the delivery door — the four points where losses actually happen. Systems are sized to your retention needs and can be linked to access control and point of sale. Expect PKR 70,000 upwards depending on premises size.
