Costs
8 camera CCTV package price
An eight-camera 2MP system with an eight-channel recorder, 2 TB storage, cabling and installation typically runs PKR 85,000 to 130,000. In 4MP IP with a network recorder and PoE switch, expect PKR 160,000 upwards depending on cable runs.
Why storage doubles
Eight cameras on the same drive means half the retention of four. A 2 TB drive is the sensible minimum at this size if you want a month of history.
IP starts to pay here
At eight cameras, single-cable installation and spare switch capacity begin to offset the higher equipment cost, particularly on longer runs.
Where eight is right
Larger shops, small clinics, family compounds with long boundaries, and workshops. It is the most common size we fit after four.
How much is an 8 camera CCTV system?
Is it cheaper to buy eight at once or add four later?
At once, clearly. One visit, one cable-pulling exercise, one recorder sized correctly. Adding later means a second lot of labour and possibly a new recorder.
Do I need a bigger recorder for eight cameras?
Yes, an eight-channel or sixteen-channel unit. We usually suggest sixteen if there is any chance of growth, because the price difference is modest.
Need this doing?
CCTV installation covers surveying your premises, choosing camera positions that actually cover your entrances and till, running cable in conduit, fitting the recorder with enough storage for your retention needs, and setting up phone viewing before we leave. A four-camera system typically costs PKR 45,000 to 70,000 installed.
