A four-camera package with a DVR, 1 TB drive, power supply, cabling and installation runs about PKR 45,000 to 70,000 for 2MP analogue. The same four channels in 4MP IP with a network recorder start around PKR 95,000 installed.
Where the range comes from
Cable distance and mounting difficulty. Four cameras in a single-room shop sit at the bottom of the range; four spread across a compound sit at the top.
Storage is the variable to watch
1 TB gives roughly 15 to 20 days on four 2MP cameras. If you want a month, ask for 2 TB and expect the price to move accordingly.
Where four is the right number
A typical shop: entrance, till, stock area, rear. A typical home: gate, boundary, courtyard, door. Beyond that, positions start duplicating.
How much is a 4 camera CCTV system?
Is four cameras enough for a shop?
For most single-room shops, yes. The four positions that matter are the entrance, the till, the stock area and the rear. Anyone quoting twelve is selling cameras.
Can I add a fifth later?
Yes, if the recorder has a spare channel — which is why we normally fit an eight-channel recorder for a four-camera job. The cost difference is small and it saves a replacement later.
