CCTV for jewellers and gold shops
A jeweller needs face-height coverage at the entrance, a camera per display counter, the safe or strong room, and the rear access — with higher resolution and longer retention than general retail. This is the one retail setting where spending on resolution genuinely pays.
Face height, high resolution
Identification matters more here than anywhere else in retail. Entrance cameras should be at face height and at the highest resolution in the system.
A camera per counter
Each display counter needs its own coverage of the hands and the goods. A wide shot of the shop does not do this job.
Alarm and safe
Cameras record; the alarm interrupts. For a jeweller both are needed, on the same timeline, and the safe deserves its own camera.

Should the recorder be hidden?
It should be in a separate secured room, not behind the counter. A recorder taken along with the stock leaves you with nothing.
